My data on two phones

Use the same Halis account to access your journal on more than one device. Each device needs a connection to receive data sent by the others.

Several phones can retrieve data from the same Halis account. Each device also keeps a local journal copy: new transactions pass through syncing before they are visible everywhere.

Connect the second device

  1. Open Halis on the second phone.
  2. Use a method already linked to the same account: Google, Apple or email.
  3. Complete verification and read the information about other active devices if it appears.
  4. Set up the local protection offered on this phone.
  5. Keep a connection available during initial recovery, then check accounts and a few recent transactions.

A different identity can open a different space. If one phone looks empty, compare sign-in methods before entering the accounts again or restarting your entire journal.

The access code and biometrics belong to each device. You can protect each phone through its settings; retrieving the same data does not make their locks shared.

Follow a transaction’s journey

A purchase entered on the first phone initially stays in its local journal. That device needs to send it, then the second needs to receive it. Both phones therefore need a connection to catch up on that new item.

For example, you record 2,500 FCFA for transport on a phone without a connection. The other phone may still show the previous balance even if it is online. Restoring only the second phone’s network cannot send an entry still on the first.

Compare two screens

Check, in order: the Halis account used, the money account opened, the period displayed, then each phone’s sync status. Different months or filters can explain different totals.

Avoid recording the same purchase on the second device just to make it appear immediately. If the first entry arrives later, you will have two transactions to resolve. Wait for exchanges and inspect the journal before entering it again.

Review and remove device access

From your profile, open Security, then My devices. The list helps identify phones from their details and distinguishes the one you are currently using. Reading this list requires reaching the service.

For another device, tap Sign out, check the targeted phone in the confirmation, then complete the requested security verification. This cuts its account access; it does not delete your Halis account.

Prepare to remove a phone

If you still have the phone, first check its pending entries and let them sync. Do not reset it or uninstall Halis while you still need to verify data stored only there.

If a device is lost, use device management from one you control. Signing it out does not guarantee remote erasure of the lost device or recover transactions it never sent. When asking for help, identify the devices involved and the status shown without sharing your codes.
